The
R&C/ WAI joint venture is interested in being your provider
of choice for structural and seismic engineering services. We will
strive to bring our experience, knowledge and innovative thinking
to each project in which we are involved.
Principals
of both firms have long been professionally active in the development
of seismic regulations for new and existing buildings at the local,
state and national level. This active participation provides for
greater understanding of existing regulations and awareness of upcoming
provisions. We seek to avoid unnecessary conservatism in design
through the application of knowledge.
EXISTING
BUILDINGS
The
Government’s Interagency Committee on Seismic Safety in Construction
(ICSSC) in conjunction with NIST has provided federal agencies with
minimum standards for evaluation and mitigation of seismic
risks in their inventories, as well as for buildings that are proposed
to be leased.You
can link to the Standards (ICSSC RP6) using the button
in the sidebar.
The
R&C/WAI joint venture is able to provide all of the engineering
services that are mandated by the Standards of Seismic Safety
for Existing Federally Owned and Leased Buildings (ICSSC RP-6).
Contact us to answer questions that you may have regarding application
of the Standards or to service your requirements for seismic
evaluation or building rehabilitation.
NEW
BUILDINGS
Each
partner has over 45 years of experience in providing structural
engineering services for a broad spectrum of new building projects.
Over that time we’ve faced and solved most of the structural
issues that are likely to confront your project.
We
look forward to bringing our experience, knowledge and creative
thinking to bear, whether it’s conceptual building design,
peer review, value engineering, guideline development or instruction. |
