Until relatively recently, seismic rehabilitation was largely confined to historic structures constructed of unreinforced masonry. Recent earthquakes have demonstrated the vulnerability of structures of more recent vintage, particularly those of concrete frame construction and those that are irregular in configuration. wherein we have provided design services ranging from preparation of schematic drawings to construction administration. We look forward to bringing the knowledge that we have gained from hands-on experience with the seismic rehabilitation of major buildings to assist federal agencies in incorporating seismic mitigation into their building rehabilitation projects. |
