WAI engineers have been involved in the development of many guidelines and criteria for the various federal agencies, starting with the development of the DOS guidelines for the Protection of New Embassy Buildings Against Terrorist Attack for the Construction of New Embassies in 1983. WAI also collaborated on the development of the ISC Criteria, the Progressive Collapse Guidelines, and various others.
