Rutherford & Chekene and Weidlinger Associates, Inc. have formed a joint venture to provide the General Services Administration and other US Government agencies with structural, seismic and blast engineering services for projects throughout the United States and other US Trust Territories and Possessions. Each partner has over 40 years of history providing conventional structural engineering services for projects from the simple to the highly complex. Our combined resources include 115 professional engineers and 30 registered California Structural Engineers. Rutherford & Chekene’s practice, headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, includes broad experience in seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings, as well as design of new buildings. Weidlinger Associates' practice, with sevenregional offices across the US, includes 50 years of experience in blast engineering. Our consultants, Geomatrix (geotechnical engineers) and Hanscomb, Faithful & Gould (cost control) bring similar attributes to the team—technical excellence, broad experience with issues confronting federal agencies, and offices in locations throughout the country.
